49ers OL Alex Boone wants to punch Clay Matthews in the face

49ers OL Alex Boone wants to punch Clay Matthews in the face, When he decided to go full Jimmy Snuka on Colin Kaepernick, Packers linebacker Clay Matthews ultimately cost himself $15,000 in fines from the league. But 49ers offensive guard Alex Boone doesn't think that's enough of a punishment.

No, Boone wants to, per CSN Bay Area, "punch him in the face."

"Probably punch him in the face,” Boone said when asked what kind of fine he would give Matthews. "I don't want his money."

Alrighty then. Either Boone really, really dislikes Matthews -- a distinct possibility -- or maybe he just wants a quid-pro-quo style punishment. After all, Matthews delivered a few shots to the head of Niners offensive tackle Joe Staley.

Those punches, however, didn't impress Jim Harbaugh very much at all.

"I looked at it with my own eyes I could see two punches thrown to Joe's head and well, one punch and one open slap," Harbaugh said. "If you're going to go to the face, come with some knuckles, you know? Not an open slap."

Matthews didn't have any interest in continuing the banter but did point out that he's "not dirty," he's "awesome."

"I'm an awesome player," Matthews said. "I'm not a dirty player."

And things finally fizzled when Harbaugh, had no interest in discussing what Matthews was fined for his blatant late hit on Kaepernick.

"I have zero reaction to the fines,” Harbaugh said on Friday. “At the direction of the league, I have nothing to say about that."
