On Larry King Live tonight, Tammy Faye Messner’s husband, Roe Messner, revealed that the remote cemetery Tammy Faye is buried in is located in Waldron, Kansas. At any rate, for those who are still curious, Tammy wanted to eat frosted flakes just before she died and was wheeled to the kitchen, where Messner prepared them. Unable to swallow the frosted flakes, Tammy asked for a scoop of peanut butter from the jar, one of her favorites. Again, it was a no-go.
She was wheeled back to the bedroom, where she died two or three minutes later, after gasping and saying: “I see Jesus and my hands in the hands of Jesus.“ Her children arrived around 11:30 a.m. and she was cremated at about noon. Her ashes were buried the next day in the Messner family cemetery in Waldron.
We don’t have anything against Waldron, which is on the Kansas-Oklahoma border, but its remoteness seems strange in comparison to the spotlight which Tammy Faye enjoyed.
